I've known Nicky since varsity days and the last time I saw her, Izzy was a slight bump in her mom's tummy. Now she is the most gorgeous little girl.

It was really good to be around bright-eyed, chubby-cheeked, smooth-skinned beauty once again.

Loyal blog readers will recognise Debbie and Thabo - I've been fortunate enough to photograph them throughout their journey through parenthood - when Lerato was a bump in Debs' tummy, when she was a few weeks old, 7 months old in London and now for her 1st birthday. We spent a bit of time taking some portraits and then headed over to Art Jamming where Lerato created her first masterpiece...

A few weeks back I headed out to Ceres to photograph Linda and her most beautiful boys. Just edible.

I photographed Busi and Peter's wedding in Joburg nearly 2 years ago. They now have a bubbaliciously adorable addition, little Max, who was a superstar braving the chilly wind on Blouberg beach. So much for the whole mid-summer thing. Isn't he GORGEOUS?

I went to Lara's home in Kenilworth last week to take some shots of her and her 3 boys! With kids you just have to go with the flow and see what happens..,

I would never have believed that Thomas is only 2 months old. He's a healthy and big baby so it's a good thing that he came early - just a few days after we photographed him in Marna's tummy in June.

Lola, Jason and Marna's other baby is not too sure about this new arrival.

Taz and I go way back to some very cool varsity days and have had all sorts of amazing and dodgy experiences together. (We won't go into that here, let's just say that she was the dodgy one :-) So it's VERY fab to see her as a doting mom to gorgeous Fynn, (aka Bird) and Steve. She is an amazing mother and sometimes I wish I had just a small dosage of her mind-boggling patience. Perhaps her patience is the reason we've stayed friends for so long.

While I was in London a few weeks ago, time was limited and the only spot to do a shoot was in the near dark. In the rain. True London-style. I'm not sure how many people would drag their baba out in the rain, in the near-dark, but these guys are super-chilled - so armed with an umbrella and fast lens we headed out and about Wimbledon.

As it's Taz's 21st + something birthday this week I thought it would be a good excuse to put some of their images on the blog! Happy birthday bear!

The last time I photographed Lerato she was just a few weeks old - now she is 7 months old and just as chilled out as her gorgeous mother. We managed to fit a few  shots in with dad too despite Thabo's busy schedule.

Lulu Anabel at 7 days old is so so adorable and her parents were looking remarkably relaxed and chilled considering they're getting sleep in 2 hour segments! One of the most beautiful aspects of photographing newborns is the sheer pride of parents of their amazing creation.

We did a maternity shoot a few weeks back and now the unknown bump is revealed. Introducing the most scrumptious 7 day-old Lulu Annabelle..

It's so wonderful to see my brother Duncs as a besotted father. While away in Dullstroom with the family, I did a shoot with them to welcome their gorgeous boy, Cameron, who is 4 months old and a complete sweetie-pie of note!

I've heard from other photographers that it's harder to do a shoot with your own family than with complete strangers and I'd always thought that this was a bit weird... but I found this to be quite true when trying to do a little shoot at home with my 7 day old son and husband. I think we got some beautiful classic images anyway...

Last week my baby boy, Jude, made his appearance into the world, 10 days early. There is so much I could say about this miraculous new addition but what has amazed me most is the overwhelming love I feel for this little guy. I have a whole new respect for people who have lost a child.I know I'm biased but man he's so cute!

I did a maternity shoot with Marinda a few months back and it is unbelievable that 'the bump' is now a gorgeous little baby boy, Ruan. Marinda is such a wonderful mom, it's beautiful to see. In between bouts of crying and drooling, we managed to get some great shots:

Loren and her family were down in the Cape from Joburg over the December holidays... so we organised a morning shoot in Kirstenbosch along with her brother and his family. We had a great time chasing ducks, finding a tractor and adoring sleepy babies. Here are just a few from the  shoot:
